Stuart Slippen is a strategically oriented managerial professional with more than 25 years of inventory management, Supply Chain Management (SCM), Business Process Improvement (BPI) and strategic sourcing. He is recognized for his work with companies facing cost, inventory, and other operational issues and has developed a reputation for team building, providing solutions for difficult situations, and delivering the promised results in a timely manner, using Lean strategies and tactics and Six Sigma methods in worldwide, multiple plant environments. Stu specializes in deriving and achieving “best in class” objectives, using strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) approach to assess operations and provide continual improvements (Kaizen), error proofing (Jidoka, Poke Yoke), team building, and new systems implementation (process transformation) to reduce risks in quality and labor inefficiencies, and eliminate waste while improving profits. Stu’s business career spans more than forty years of successful BPI and SCM activities, having served as Corporate Vice President, Director Plant Operations, General Manager, and Global Supply Chain Manager to various companies ranging from start-up to $6.5 billion. |
